Nexoria Contacts Gomez and Sullivan Engineers About Power Planning for Red Rock Village
The development is being planned with the goal of serving more than 5,000 residents. Nexoria is exploring a self-sufficient electrical system that could combine solar power, generators, energy storage and a review of whether hydropower has a practical role at the site.
Gomez and Sullivan Engineers describes itself as a water resources and environmental science firm with engineering, environmental science and information technology experience. Its listed services include hydropower engineering, feasibility studies, site and utility design, and evaluating energy production, hydromechanical equipment and electrical distribution. The company says its work includes assessing a site’s resources and modeling potential system performance.
The firm’s experience could help Nexoria assess which parts of the community’s power concept are technically feasible and what studies would be needed before selecting equipment or beginning construction. The project remains in its planning stage; Nexoria’s contact is an initial step toward exploring possible engineering support, and no contract or engineering commitment has been announced.
The proposed system’s design will depend on the community’s actual electricity demand, the available space for solar panels and equipment, and the site’s water and elevation conditions. Any hydropower contribution would need to be evaluated against the energy required to move and treat water.
More information about Gomez and Sullivan Engineers and its services is available on the company’s website, including its hydropower engineering page and contact page.
